Thanks for the feedback and Q Gideonro! Yes we did consider that design. We also did consider scenarios on where re-delegation could occur: If user A delegates to user B, and user B delegates his vote, then virtually speaking user A would be delegating to user B's quorum.

The reason why we didn't follow up those paths can be summarized into two reasons: 1) sybil and opacity concerns, 2) trying to make it really simple to understand. Ofc it goes longer than that, and the 2nd blog post goes into some detail
